Tom & Earl’s Back Alley Grill is a local eatery that’s perfect for a quick lunch! If you want something easy, you can always get one of the appetizers as your meal, and they have buffalo wings or the Rocky Top Nachos. You’ll also find a juicy burger, crispy chicken tenders, a thick slice bologna sandwich, and so much more on their menu. If you want a drink to go with your meal, Tom & Earl’s has an extensive beer and cocktail list!
Another hidden gem eatery is Tennessee Jed’s. It is also located in Baskins Square, but this restaurant is known for their frito pies. This is frito chips layered with beef chili, cheese, and other toppings. If you’d rather have a sandwich, they have a reuben, cubano, a classic pulled pork smothered in barbecue sauce, and there’s a spicy tofu sandwich! To go with your meal, you can get baked beans, potato salad, coleslaw, or a seasonal side.
One of the best restaurants in Gatlinburg for lunch is the Mountain Edge Grill. It is located in Baskins Square, and you’ll find all kinds of delicious food on their menu. Get a bison or beef burger piled high with your favorite toppings and served with french fries. If you’d rather have a sandwich, you can’t go wrong with a reuben, BLT, chicken salad, or the Mt. LeConte, which is hot ham and swiss on sourdough bread. Mountain Edge Grill also serves gourmet pizzas, hot dogs, and chicken tenders.
For unique cuisine, you have to stop by New Orleans Sandwich Company. It truly is one of the best restaurants in Gatlinburg for any meal, not just lunch! Like the name says, they have muffalettas and po’boys full of shrimp, chicken, oysters, or another meat of your choice. If you aren’t in the mood for a sandwich, you can’t go wrong with their jambalaya, red beans and rice, gumbo, or crawfish etouffee.
Boudicca’s Celtic Pub is another fantastic lunch option if you want to get away from traditional American food. This restaurant, located in The Village Shops, serves classic English food, like fish and chips and shepherd’s pie. You’ll also find bangers and mash, a Scottish street melt, and a Celtic spice bag, which is hand breaded chicken that’s been marinated in Irish hot sauce that’s been topped with onions and peppers. Boudicca’s has an extensive beer menu where most have been imported from Celtic countries.
