We’re not only located along the river but we’re also just steps away from the Great Smoky Mountains National Park and within walking distance of the best spots in town. You can easily take a morning stroll along the Gatlinburg Trail, wildlife watch along the stream as you sit on your private balcony, walk to lunch and to the Gatlinburg SkyBridge or Ripley’s Aquarium. When you’re finished up, come back to the hotel and relax in the pool or lazy river for a bit before heading out for your next adventure.
Our Amenities
Our lazy river is a top amenity among all our guests during the warmer months. It's the perfect way to keep cool while relaxing in the heart of Gatlinburg. During your stay with us, you’ll not only have access to our lazy river but also our pool and the outdoor fire pits. We offer a great selection of rooms that include everything from the standard double queen to a beautiful and spacious king suite. You can also choose a room with a private balcony overlooking the river or one that has a view of downtown Gatlinburg. All guest rooms have a mini-fridge, microwave, large flat screen television, free WiFi and numerous in-room amenities to help you feel like you’re at your home away from home. Custom hickory furniture and custom made beds from Brothers Bedding are in each room as well. If you’re spending a few days or celebrating a special occasion, consider booking one of our guest rooms that include a fireplace or living area. Doing so will add a little extra coziness and space to your stay. All of our guests receive free parking during their stay, and our hotel is within walking distance of many of the best attractions and shopping in the Smokies! However, you can ride the trolley to Laurel Falls, Elkmont, Sugarlands Visitors Center, Dollywood, Gatlinburg’s infamous Arts & Crafts Community and much more. Please note that depending on the time of your stay some trolley routes may not be accessible. Solo travelers, couples, groups, families and more love the amenities at our hotel. For more than 20 years, we have welcomed guests from all over the world and soon after opening in 2000, we became known as “Gatlinburg’s Grand Tradition,” a title that is very dear to us. Our owners’ created our hotel with a hope of bringing back the traditional style of hospitality that their grandmother had provided to guests at Bearskin Congress Motel from the 1940’s to the 1980’s in downtown Gatlinburg. Since opening day our staff have consistently strived to provide a warm and family friendly setting. We take great pride in the fact that we’ve watched children grow up in our lazy river, summer after summer. We love welcoming guests on their honeymoon and then again for anniversary after anniversary. We look forward to seeing the smiles on the faces of guests as they’re checking out, because we know that there’s a great chance that we’ll be seeing them again, time after time.
