The shop has developed a loyal following for its mouthwatering Mackinac Island-style fudge, which is famously paddled on marble tables. 4. Ole Smoky Candy Kitchen

The Ole Smoky Candy Kitchen was established in 1950 by a young couple who were on their way to California when they decided that they would rather put down roots in Gatlinburg. Everything at the Candy Kitchen is prepared the same way it was in the 50s, complete with copper kettle fudge, a hypnotic taffy machine, and white uniformed candy makers. Some of the most popular sweets available at the Ole Smoky Candy Kitchen include the salt water taffy, cashew brittle, candy apples, and the chocolate covered raspberry jellies. The Candy Kitchen has two locations on the downtown Gatlinburg Parkway.
